Financial Relief is available for Albertan’s impacted by COVID-19

Homeowner Relief 

Our various lending institutions, credit unions, banks and mortgage insurers are stepping up to lend their support to Homeowners affected by this crisis and who experience sudden financial setbacks which might temporarily impact their ability to meet their mortgage obligations.   

Some financial institutions are allowing their internal skip a payment mortgage options on both residential and commercial mortgages while In other cases, relief could be given up to a 6-month time period effective as of March 16th. The relief in mortgage payments would be provided by a backend capitalization of payments being added onto the end of your remaining amortization.   

Debt Relief 

In addition to the Homeowner relief efforts, we also have the ability via our direct partners to provide relief for your vehicle loans and leases. Some financial institutions are allowing a 3-month payment holiday if transferring your vehicle finance, loan and lease to their institution during this crisis while others are aiding with reduced payments until the end of the term.

This early intervention will allow borrowers some time to recover and focus on what’s important. Requests made after September 2020 will be considered under regular lender policy.
